These Supplemental Terms govern the use of specific Geol.ai product features and services. They supplement and are incorporated into the Master Subscription Agreement available at /terms. In the event of a conflict between these Supplemental Terms and the Master Subscription Agreement, these Supplemental Terms shall control with respect to the applicable feature or service. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the Master Subscription Agreement.
1. AI Analysis Services
Geol.ai utilizes third-party artificial intelligence providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini, to analyze crawled webpage content and generate optimization recommendations. By using the AI Analysis Services, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- AI analysis results are informational recommendations and are not guaranteed to produce specific outcomes or rankings in AI search engines.
- Only publicly accessible webpage content crawled by Geol.ai is transmitted to AI providers for analysis. Customer personally identifiable information is not sent to AI providers as part of the analysis process.
- Geol.ai does not control changes to AI provider models, capabilities, or policies, and such changes may affect analysis results over time.
- Content processed through AI provider APIs is also subject to the applicable AI provider's terms of service and usage policies.
- Geol.ai may change AI providers or models at its discretion to maintain or improve service quality, and such changes do not constitute a material change to the service.
2. WordPress Plugin
If Customer uses the Geol.ai WordPress plugin to integrate Geol.ai optimization outputs with a WordPress website, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- The WordPress plugin is provided "as is" and Geol.ai does not warrant compatibility with all WordPress versions, configurations, themes, or third-party plugins.
- Customer is responsible for ensuring the WordPress plugin is compatible with Customer's WordPress environment, including maintaining supported PHP and WordPress versions.
- The WordPress plugin requires a valid, active Geol.ai subscription. Plugin functionality will be suspended if the subscription lapses or is terminated.
- Geol.ai is not responsible for conflicts, errors, or performance issues arising from interactions between the WordPress plugin and other plugins, themes, or custom code installed on Customer's WordPress site.
3. API Access
If Customer accesses Geol.ai functionality through the application programming interface (API), Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- API usage is subject to rate limits determined by Customer's subscription tier. Exceeding rate limits may result in throttled or rejected requests.
- API keys are confidential credentials. Customer is solely responsible for securing API keys and is liable for all activity conducted using Customer's API keys.
- Programmatic access to the Geol.ai platform must comply with the acceptable use terms set forth in the Master Subscription Agreement.
- Geol.ai may modify, deprecate, or update API endpoints with reasonable advance notice. Geol.ai will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain backward compatibility when practical.
- API documentation is available at /api-docs and is provided for reference purposes.
4. Answer Engine Briefing
Geol.ai generates content briefings designed to help optimize Customer's web content for visibility in AI-powered search engines. By using the Answer Engine Briefing feature, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Briefing content consists of AI-generated recommendations and guidelines. Implementing briefing recommendations does not guarantee specific rankings, citations, or visibility in any AI search engine.
- Customer retains full ownership of any content created using or derived from Geol.ai briefings. Geol.ai claims no ownership rights over Customer-created content.
- Geol.ai retains all rights in and to the briefing templates, generation methodology, scoring algorithms, and underlying technology used to produce briefings.
5. AI Monitoring and Citation Tracking
Geol.ai monitors AI-powered search platforms for mentions of and citations to Customer's brand and web properties. By using the AI Monitoring and Citation Tracking features, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Monitoring capabilities depend on the continued accessibility of third-party AI platforms, which may change their interfaces, terms of use, or availability without notice to Geol.ai.
- Citation and mention data is collected on a best-effort basis. Geol.ai does not guarantee complete or real-time coverage of all AI platform responses.
- Historical monitoring data is retained according to the limits of Customer's subscription tier. Data beyond the retention period may be permanently deleted.
- Monitoring frequency and depth vary by subscription plan. Higher-tier plans receive more frequent monitoring cycles and broader platform coverage.
6. Credits and Usage-Based Billing
6.1 Credit Types
The Platform uses three distinct credit types, each consumed by different features. Credit allocations per subscription tier are published on the Geol.ai pricing page at /pricing.
- Scan Credits. Consumed when analyzing a URL for AI visibility. Each URL scan consumes one (1) Scan Credit regardless of page complexity. Scans include full domain crawling, content extraction, NLP analysis, and AI provider analysis.
- Format Credits. Consumed when generating or optimizing structured output files including JSON-LD, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and page-level metadata. Each format generation or optimization operation consumes one (1) Format Credit.
- Prompt Explorer Credits. Consumed when running a query in the Prompt Explorer tool. Each Prompt Explorer run executes the query against all AI providers available to the Customer's subscription tier and consumes one (1) Prompt Explorer Credit. Automated monitoring runs for tracked prompts are included in the subscription at no additional credit cost and do not consume Prompt Explorer Credits.
6.2 Monthly Credit Allocation and Reset
- Each subscription tier includes a monthly allocation of Scan Credits, Format Credits, and Prompt Explorer Credits as specified on the pricing page.
- Monthly included credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.
- Unused monthly included credits are forfeited at the end of each billing cycle and have no cash value.
- Credit allocations are subject to change; Geol.ai will provide reasonable notice before reducing credit allocations for existing subscribers.
6.3 Consumption Waterfall
- When a credit-consuming action is performed, credits are deducted in the following order: (1) monthly included credits for the applicable type; (2) top-up credits for the applicable type (if any); (3) overage metering via Stripe Billing Meters.
- Each credit type maintains its own independent pool; credits of one type cannot be used in place of another type.
- Free-tier accounts are hard-limited to their monthly included allocation; when exhausted, access to credit-consuming features is suspended until the next billing cycle (no overage for free tier).
6.4 Overage Charges
For paid subscription tiers, usage beyond the monthly included allocation and any top-up balance incurs overage charges. Overage charges are metered in real time and processed through Stripe Billing Meters.
| Credit Type | Overage Rate |
|---|
| Scan Credit | $0.50 per credit |
| Format Credit | $0.75 per credit |
| Prompt Run Credit | $0.10 per credit |
Overage rates are subject to change. Current rates are always available on the Geol.ai pricing page. Geol.ai will provide at least thirty (30) days written notice before increasing overage rates for existing subscribers.
Accumulated overage charges are automatically billed when they reach the auto-billing threshold of $50.00 (fifty US dollars). Any remaining overage balance below the threshold at the end of a billing cycle is included in the next invoice. Customer authorizes Geol.ai and Stripe to charge the payment method on file for accumulated overage charges.
6.5 Top-Up Credit Packs
- Geol.ai offers one-time credit pack purchases ("Top-Up Packs") that supplement the monthly included allocation.
- Top-up credits are consumed only after monthly included credits for the applicable type are exhausted (per the consumption waterfall in Section 6.3).
- Top-up credits persist indefinitely across billing cycles and do not expire.
- Top-up credits have no cash value and are non-transferable between accounts or projects.
- Available top-up packs and current pricing are published on the Geol.ai pricing page.
- Monthly credit reset does not affect top-up balances; only actual usage depletes top-up credits.
6.6 Credit Tracking and Transparency
- Credit usage is tracked in real time and visible in the Customer's project billing dashboard.
- Overage consumption is visible in the project billing dashboard with accumulated amount and threshold progress.
- Purchase history for top-up packs is available in the project billing dashboard.
7. Format Generation
Geol.ai generates structured output files to help optimize Customer's web properties for AI search engine discovery. Generated formats include JSON-LD structured data, robots.txt directives, sitemap.xml files, llms.txt and llms-full.txt files, and page-level metadata. By using the Format Generation feature, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Generated formats are recommendations based on AI analysis of Customer's web content. Customer should review all generated formats before implementing them on production websites.
- Customer is solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and deploying generated format files on Customer's web properties. Geol.ai is not liable for any issues arising from the implementation of generated formats.
- Generated format files are stored in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage and remain accessible for the duration of Customer's active subscription. Access to stored formats may be suspended or terminated upon subscription cancellation.
- Geol.ai does not guarantee that implementing generated formats will produce specific results in AI search engine rankings, citations, or visibility.
8. Prompt Explorer
The Prompt Explorer tool allows Customer to run queries against multiple AI search engines and view side-by-side comparison results showing how AI platforms respond to specific prompts. By using the Prompt Explorer, Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- Each Prompt Explorer run consumes one (1) Prompt Run Credit from Customer's allocated credit pool. Credit consumption is tracked and visible in the project billing dashboard.
- Prompt Explorer results are generated by querying third-party AI providers in real time. Results reflect the current state of each AI provider's model and may vary over time. Geol.ai does not control AI provider responses.
- Prompt Explorer results may be used by Geol.ai in aggregated, anonymized form to improve AI analysis capabilities, service quality, and industry benchmarking. Individual Customer prompts and results are never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to third parties in identifiable form.
- Prompt Explorer data is stored separately from AI Monitoring data. Adding a prompt to monitoring copies only the prompt text; Prompt Explorer result data does not flow into monitoring tables.
- Automated monitoring runs for prompts added to the monitoring index are included in the subscription at no additional Prompt Run Credit cost. Only interactive Prompt Explorer runs consume credits.
- Customer retains ownership of the prompts submitted to the Prompt Explorer. Geol.ai retains all rights in the comparison methodology, scoring algorithms, brand metrics, and underlying analysis technology.
